Pressure

I tell you, this whole business with the case is really taking a toll on Scout. Kids at school frequently berate her about me being a “n***er lover”. She used to get into fights all the time, but i told her to stow that. She’s never forced herself not to fight before. And it’s not just the school kids who tease her, her cousin, and some the adults in town take stabs at the Finch family. Jem’s having his own problems as well. He’s trying to be more “grown up” and irritating Scout. They’ve been fighting about it sometimes too. *Sigh* sometimes i don’t know what to do.
