Alexandra’s visit

What I have done may either help the kids, or drive them stark mad. My sister Alexandra’s going to be living with us. I think it’ll help them to realize the honor behind our family name. Scout may even become more… ladylike I suppose. When they got hoe from school, they were immediately chastised by Alexandra for… not a very good reason. Scout was wearing overalls today. Then I broke the news to them. They pretended to be happy, but I knew much better. Jem was trying to be more grown up about it, but Scout was outright displeased. They’re just going to have to deal with the circumstances. Being children, they just don’t understand the pressure that’s on me right now. I just have to be strong, not just for me, but for them too.
